Benovia Winery Launches New Website and Photo Promotion

Where in The World is Benovia? Advents with Launch of New Website

Santa Rosa, CA (July 13, 2010) - Benovia Winery, a producer of top quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay based in the Russian River Valley, has launched a new website which includes a new design and greater functionality. Coinciding with the website launch is a new social media promotion named "Where in the World is Benovia?"

The new Benovia website was designed by Balzac Communications in Napa, California and The Lavidge Company in Phoenix, Arizona, and includes several information sections, as well as e-commerce capabilities. The Benovia Wines section includes information on each Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel the winery produces, as well as listings of awards and accolades and current releases. The Tastings & Events section contains a listing of all the activities hosted by Benovia or attended by someone from the winery. The extensive About Benovia section includes background information on all Benovia team members, estate vineyards, growers, winemaking philosophy, sustainability practices, and consumer comments. News & Media contains all current and past press releases, online press kit, product sheets, images, articles, newsletters, and "Where in the World is Benovia?" New and returning customers can sign up for winery newsletter and/or check their allocation in the Order section. Finally, visitors can set up appointments to visit, view the Benovia Vineyard Hideaway, and find location and driving directions in Visit Us.

"Where in the World is Benovia?" is a new social media promotion conducted on both the new website as well as Facebook, designed to engage consumers online and increase traffic to the website. Every two weeks, Benovia will post a new photograph to their Facebook page. The photo will include a shot of a Benovia Winery bottle placed somewhere in the world. Some of the locations will be fairly obscure, so a written clue will be given with each photo to help visitors guess correctly. Participants can make their guess on the Facebook page, or on the Benovia website. Due to some states' regulations, Benovia has chosen not to offer any prizes of any real value, but those participants who guess correctly, will have their names appear on the Benovia website. In addition to company posted photos, Benovia encourages others to post shots of themselves with a Benovia bottle somewhere in the world. The winery will choose the best specimens to post to their website.

"We felt it was time that the Benovia website reflected the same kind of quality as the wines we produce," said Mike Sullivan, winemaker and co-owner of Benovia Winery. "The colors and design are more eye-catching and the site more functional. Where in the World is Benovia? is just a way for us to introduce consumers to the new site, as well as have a little fun while we're at it."
