David Rifkin

East Coast Market Manager

To say that David has a lot of experience in the food and beverage business would be an understatement. Since 1975, David has done just about everything there is to do in a restaurant, from washing dishes to flipping burgers to managing a chain of casual dining restaurants.  Along the way he's built highly successful wine programs at the restaurants he's managed. Up and down the East Coast of the U.S., from Philadelphia to Miami, David has made an impact on how wine is appreciated in restaurants.
His passion for wine is obvious. Talk with him and you will get a sense of his experience and knowledge in promoting wines and wine programs. Eat with him and you will see, after his family, what he loves.
His love for wine drove David to launch The Grape Press Magazine in the early 1990s, focusing on wines available in the DC Metro area.
At the end of 2010, David joined the Benovia family as East Coast Market Manager. His responsibility is to help Benovia's restaurant and retail partners educate people about the winery and sell Benovia wines.
